Built for the islands, by people who know them
Island Services Network connects Vineyard and Nantucket homeowners with vetted local trades — and keeps the lead-sellers out.
Island Services Network started with a simple, recurring problem: finding a good painter, cleaner, builder, contractor, or roofer on Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket is harder than it should be. Off-island directories sell your inquiry to whoever pays, and the results are anyone's guess.
So we built the opposite: a small, curated network where every business is reviewed before it appears, and where homeowners deal directly with the people who would actually do the work.
No lead-selling. No national call centers. No listings we wouldn't call ourselves.
Our mission
To make finding a trustworthy island trade as easy as asking a good neighbor — because the businesses on this network are exactly that: vetted neighbors.
Curated, not crowded
We list a small number of proven providers per trade and island. Quality over quantity, always.
Island-first
Every provider lives and works on Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. They know the ferry schedule, the boards, and the weather.
Straight talk
Clear scopes, real references, and no mystery markups. If something's off, tell us — it matters.
The standard
What we check before anyone is listed
Every application is reviewed by hand. Here's the checklist:
License & registration
We verify the trade license or business registration the work requires.
Active insurance
General liability — and workers' compensation where crews are on site.
Island references
Real clients on Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket who will vouch for the work.
Portfolio of island work
Projects we can see — completed, on one of the two islands.
A real conversation
We talk to every applicant. If we wouldn't hire them, we don't list them.
Whether you're hiring or applying
Homeowners can browse the islands and trades. Island businesses can apply to be featured — we review every application by hand.
